Identidad Cocktail Bar

Identidad Cocktail Bar is a cocktail bar on Calle Cerra, Santurce, founded by Edrick Colón and Stephen Alonso, partners with nearly a decade of experience in the bar industry (including Bar La Unidad and Antillano). Six months after opening, the business received a James Beard Awards nomination.

The space is distinguished by a quiet atmosphere, with plants hanging from the high ceiling and dim light at the bar. The cocktail menu, overseen by Colón, highlights Caribbean and Latin flavors, with drinks such as the Amargura Tropical (a Caribbean take on the Negroni with pineapple and vanilla) and the Trinidad. In the kitchen, led by Silkia Goveo, dishes include the Piña Colada Fish Bao, with pineapple and cucumber chutney.

Identidad is part of the culinary growth of Calle Cerra, an area that, according to its founders, maintains a spirit of mutual support among neighboring businesses.
