
La Güira, founded in 1970 by former basketball player Gustavo Mattey, passed to the González family in 1972 and is now in its third generation under executive chef Nelson González. The restaurant offers an extensive menu of house cocktails, specialties such as the Mar y Tierra, meats, stuffed mofongos and desserts. It reopened after Hurricane María and renovated its facilities in 2018.
