Just over one-hour\u2019s drive from the capital San Juan, in the lush, central mountain region of Orocovis, ToroVerde<\/a> is the largest adventure park in the Caribbean. The headline act is the 1.5-mile-long (2.4km) \u201cMonster,\u201d the third longest zip line in the world, whisking thrill seekers through the air at speeds of up to 95 mph (153 km\/h). A notch down is the \u201cBeast,\u201d a head-first, 60 mph (97km\/h) ride through the forest canopy at over 800 feet (244m). Nested within 30 acres (less than 1 sq. km) of breathtaking tropical forest in Utuado, the company promotes sustainable travel through low impact tourism and cultural interchange with local communities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most popular tour is the Classic Half Day Tour which includes: five ziplines extending for 3,200 feet (975m); a 70-foot (21m) drop rappel; and kayaking through an underground river cave. The tour begins and ends with a short, moderately rated hike along a series of interpretative paths through tropical forest. The extended version includes a 30-minute hike through a limestone-walled canyon to Cueva del Arco (Arch\u2019s Cave)\u2014a scenic place to bathe in natural swimming pools and waterfalls.
