Museo Afro Casa Silvana presents the exhibition "El Peine Afro: una historia de identidad y resistencia," a historical survey bringing together more than forty traditional African combs, pieces associated with social movements of the 1960s and '70s, and vintage postcards and photographs.
The show explores hair and the Afro comb as symbols of identity, autonomy and pride within the African diaspora. As part of the opening, the group exhibition "Las cinco pieles: artistas en conversación" also debuts in the Sala Conrado.
