- Email Interconnectivity. If you receive an email from us, we may use tools to capture data related to when you open our message, click on links or banners it contains, and make purchases. The purpose of collecting and using this data is to fulfill our business need to understand how you interact with our communications with you.
- Mobile devices (such as phones, tablets, connected TVs, game consoles, and other digital media streaming devices). We may collect information from your mobile device, such as unique identifiers transmitted from your device when you visit one of our Services. The purposes of collecting and using this data are to fulfill our business need to identify unique visitors and understand how users interact with us on their devices.
- Website Interactions. We use technology to understand how you interact with our website (for example, session replay). This may include the links you click or the information you enter into our online forms. This may also include information about your device or browser. The purpose of collecting and using this data is to fulfill our business need to understand how you interact with our website so we can improve it, and to understand your preferences and interests so we can select offers that might be most useful to you. We also have a business need to secure our Services and to detect and prevent fraud.

The specificity of location data can depend on several factors, including the device you are using and how it is connected to the internet. If you enable location services for our Services, we may collect location data periodically while you use or leave our Services open. Depending on the platform you use to access our Apps (for example, Apple iOS, Google Android), you may be able to control whether location data is collected using your device's settings.
- Cookies, in general. We, our service providers operating on our behalf, and other companies that collect information on our pages, may automatically collect or receive certain information associated with you and/or your device(s) as part of your use of the Services through device-based tracking technologies such as cookies, pixels, tags, beacons, scripts, or other technologies. The purpose of collecting and using this data is to fulfill our business need to make our website function efficiently, provide you with different website experiences, and give you the ability to save your preferences, such as login and preferred language. Please see our Cookie Policy for more information.
- Cookies for advertising. Some of our Services participate in behavioral advertising, which means that technology (for example, a cookie) is used to collect information about your use of our Services to provide advertising about products and services tailored to your interests on our Services or on other websites. The purposes of collecting and using this data are that we have a business need to participate in behavioral advertising and to capture analytics on our Services. The information we collect may include geolocation data, such as (a) information that identifies the precise location of your mobile device (when you agree to allow an application or Service to collect it) and (b) your IP address, which can be used to estimate your approximate location. We use this information to ensure that the Services function properly and to provide you with personalized content and advertising, including personalized ads. See our Cookie Policy for more information.
- Multi-device tracking. We and our service providers may collect and store information about users' interactions with non-affiliated websites and applications that use our technologies, including cookies and similar tracking technologies. This allows us to infer the presence of a common user or household behind multiple devices or browsers, for example, and then link those browsers and devices in a device graph. The purpose of collecting and using this data is that we have a business need to understand how our users use our sites across all devices to enable users to use our services on one device and seamlessly continue where they left off on another. We also have a business need to provide personalized advertising on each device that is inferred from browsing patterns across all devices.
- Data Analysis. We use certain web analytics services, including third-party services such as Google Analytics, to help us understand and analyze how visitors use our Services. We may collect information, including your browser type, operating system, Internet Protocol (IP) address, domain name, click activity, referring website, and/or a date/time stamp for visitors. The purpose of collecting and using this data is to fulfill our business need to monitor our networks and website visitors. We may receive reports based on the use of these technologies both individually and in aggregate. These analytics services, including third-party services such as Google Analytics, also use this information to place advertisements for our products on other websites you visit after using the Site. These advertisements may be based on actions such as the pages you visited and actions you take while using the Site. For more information about how Google may use the data it collects through the Site, you can click here. You can also choose to install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on to opt out of Google Analytics data collection.

Some of our Services may include features designed to interact with social media platforms and other third-party services (for example, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and loyalty programs). If you access the Services using one of these social media platforms or provide us with access to third-party services, we may receive information about you from those third parties, such as account and profile data, and we may combine this data with information we already have about you. For more information about the use of social platforms, please see the Social Features section below.
We may also collect information about you through interactive applications (for example, mobile devices, third-party social media services, and embedded audio and video players), co-branded partners and websites (for example, on our Facebook Pages), our advertisers, and commercially available sources (for example, data aggregators and public databases). This Privacy Policy does not cover the practices of third parties, including those who may disclose information to us.
- Employment-related information. When you choose to apply for a job at a Red Ventures company, this includes information from a recruitment agency. The purpose of this collection is to help us match you with open positions and facilitate the hiring process.
Use and processing of information
In addition to the purposes and uses described elsewhere in this policy, we may use the information in the following ways:
- To identify you when you interact with us and our Services.
- To provide content recommendations based on your interactions and interests.
- To make our Services available to you and to complete orders placed on our Services and with our Customers.
- To process transactions associated with your use of the Services for which there is a charge, including to process payments and verify your identity or payment information for your security and protection.
- To communicate with you (for example, about your account or updates to our terms) and to respond to inquiries related to support, employment opportunities, or other requests.
- To deliver marketing and promotional materials related to our Services in accordance with applicable laws, including information related to our products, services, sales, marketing research or promotions.
- To provide you with personalized advertising about our Services based on your online activity. We use the information we have to improve our advertising systems so we can show you relevant, interest-based advertising, measure the effectiveness and reach of ads and services, verify delivery and track the performance of advertising campaigns, and ensure that an ad is only delivered when a real person is visiting the site and that the same users don't see the same ads too frequently. You can update your preferences regarding personalized advertising by visiting the Cookie Settings link in the footer of each site to manage your settings.
- To build audience segments from the information we collect about you — such as your account activity, content interests, purchase or inquiry history, and demographic information — so that we can send you more relevant email communications and show you more relevant advertising on social media and other platforms, including through matched-audience or lookalike-audience features offered by our advertising partners.
- To verify your entry and eligibility to participate in contests, sweepstakes, or giveaways and to notify you if you have won. If your entry information will be used for other purposes, we will disclose this in the applicable rules governing that contest, sweepstakes, or giveaway.
- To monitor, improve, and analyze our Services and product offerings for advertisers.
- For internal administrative purposes, such as the security and protection of our Services, and to manage our relationships.
- To allow you to participate in social sharing, including social media live streams, and to implement the social features you choose to use.
- The Apps on our Services may request to send you push notifications from time to time to inform you about any events or promotions we may be running. Apps may also request permission to access your camera and photos. If you no longer wish to receive these types of communications, or if you initially agreed to allow the app to access your camera and photos and wish to prevent further access, you can disable this permission at the device level. To ensure you receive the appropriate notifications, we will need to collect certain information about your device, such as the operating system and user identification information.
- To detect security incidents and protect against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activities, including attempts to manipulate or violate our policies, procedures, and terms and conditions.
- To comply with legal obligations, establish or exercise our rights, defend ourselves against a legal claim, and investigate, prevent, or take action regarding possible misconduct.
- For other purposes not described in this Privacy Policy as permitted by law.
Although the previous sections describe our primary purpose(s) in collecting your information, in many situations we have more than one purpose.
Information exchange
In addition to the specific situations discussed elsewhere in this policy, we may disclose your personal information in the following situations:
- Affiliates and Acquisitions. We may share your personal information with our corporate affiliates (e.g., parent company, sister companies, subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under common control). If another company acquires, or plans to acquire, our company, business, or assets, we will also share your personal information with that company using appropriate safeguards, including during the negotiation stage.

- Advertising. We may share certain data with advertising platforms, including Google and social media networks such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Snapchat, to enable us to target existing users and customers with highly relevant advertising campaigns. For the purposes of such campaigns, we may share a unique code (such as a hashed email address) with the relevant advertising platform so that this identifier can be compared against existing users of that advertising platform and to identify potentially relevant audiences for targeted advertising. We use services such as Google Ads Customer Match, LiveRamp, LinkedIn Matched Audiences, and Facebook Custom Audiences for these purposes. In addition to advertising our own goods and services, we may also facilitate third parties advertising their own goods and services, including by targeting those ads to those who might be most interested in them. These ads may be displayed within our Services. In order to provide you with relevant advertising, your IP address, as well as your operating system and device type, may be used. To opt out of personal-level advertising from LiveRamp, click here.

Where you submit information through a lead form, inquiry form, consent button or similar feature on our Services we may share that information — such as your name, contact information, and the details of your inquiry — with select third-party business partners so that they can respond to your inquiry, contact you about their products or services, and otherwise market to you directly. Before we share your information with a specific partner or partners for this purpose, we will identify the partner(s) who will receive your information and obtain your consent to that specific sharing at the point of collection. Once shared, your information will be handled under that partner's own privacy policy, and any further communications you receive from that partner (including calls, texts, or emails) will be governed by the consent you gave for that specific partner and by applicable law.
- Other disclosures without your consent. We may disclose information in response to subpoenas, warrants, or court orders, or in connection with any legal process, or to comply with applicable laws. We may also share your information to establish or exercise our rights, to defend ourselves against a legal claim, to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding potential illegal activity, suspected fraud, the safety of persons or property, or a violation of our policies.
