The Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Puerto Rico (MAC) is opening its doors for a new edition of its traditional art and design fair Timbiriche, running from Friday, Dec. 15, through Sunday, Dec. 17, at its historic home in Santurce. This edition coincides with the 25th anniversary of the contemporary dance company Andanza, which will present several of its recent choreographies.
Timbiriche highlights the MAC's commitment to self-management and the promotion of artists and designers from the Island.
"The art and design fair Timbiriche is more than an event at the MAC; it is a manifestation of our mission to foster self-management and offer a supportive environment for the promotion of Puerto Rican artists and designers," said Marianne Ramírez Aponte, executive director and chief curator of the MAC.
More than 90 artists and designers will gather for this edition, bringing unique, high-artistic-value products made in Puerto Rico.
Admission to Timbiriche is free. Friday, Dec. 15, hours are 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Saturday, Dec. 16, and Sunday, Dec. 17, hours are 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. For admission to the exhibition Puerto Rico Negrx, a donation of $6 per adult and $3 per minor is suggested.
