Coffee & Chocolate Expo audiences select D'Nuevo Café and Chocolate Cortés as their favorites at a record-attendance event.

D'Nuevo Café and Chocolate Cortés were selected as coffee and chocolate of the year by attendees at the Coffee & Chocolate Expo, held at the Centro de Convenciones de Puerto Rico on April 20 and 21.

The event is the main platform for introducing what's new in chocolates, breads, beverages and sweets from local and international brands and businesses.

"We are very pleased with the response and support from the Coffee & Chocolate Expo audience. It was an event for the whole family, where more than 22,0000 people came together to discover new coffee- and cacao-based products and support the local industry," said Pedro Fernández Jerez, president of CUBE Group Events, creators and organizers of the expo.

Also, for the first time in 14 years and 13 editions, the Coffee & Chocolate Expo served as a platform to recognize the best innovative product and the best complementary coffee product.

The winners in those two categories were Mr. Kukis and La Chocolatería.

"It is an honor to recognize the talent and creativity that drive the evolution of this industry," Fernández added. "We hope these awards inspire other entrepreneurs to keep innovating and raising the standard of quality in coffee and chocolate."

The event was not only an opportunity to sample the best coffee and chocolate creations, but also to learn from experts in the field.

Visitors had the opportunity to attend informational talks on how to prepare the perfect cup of coffee and on sustainable cacao cultivation. The exhibitions also featured baristas and chocolatiers who shared their techniques and secrets for creating the beverages and desserts.

Among them were well-known names such as Chef Marilyn, Dr. Yadira Vázquez, Decenia Vega and Erica Reyes of the Escuela de Baristas, who demonstrated their skill in each preparation.
