This is the spot if you’re looking for a top, high-end spot in Condado with an amazing, Instagram-worthy view, outside dining area, and high-quality food. It’s perfect for brunch and special occasions such as anniversaries and birthdays. Don’t go without a reservation, as this spot is very popular among locals and tourists. I highly recommend walking or taking an Uber there. Parking is limited around the area.

The area where this restaurant is located was designed to look like a cruise ship—so you have an endless view of the ocean.

Número Uno Beach House

In Ocean Park, you’ll find this boutique hotel with a restaurant on the beach. It’s ideal for relaxing with the sound of the ocean in the background. This is a great spot to watch the sunset in San Juan, and is actually popular for the view. The restaurant offers lounge chairs and beanbags right at the beach on the sand while you look at the food and drinks menu. You can order a bottle of champagne and sip away while you watch the sunset. It’s super romantic, and a great date spot or hangout place to relax after a long day. The restaurant doesn’t take any reservations (walk-ins only), so plan ahead. Arrive before 5pm if you want to beat the sunset crowd, or put your name on the list and enjoy the beach while you wait—it’s right there!

La Marqueta

This restaurant is made up of four different locations: Jose Enrique, ECUME, Taqueria La Sirena and Shogun Cuisine, bringing a variety of the world’s flavors into the same space. La Marqueta’s four distinct food and drinks menus make for an eventful chinchorreo. This type of gastronomy is unique to Puerto Rico. It represents a group of friends and family tasting restaurants and bars together.

The beautiful view of Condado Beach adds to the chinchorreo gastronomic experience. The open-air, modern, and cozy place aims to satisfy your cravings. Foodies can enjoy a tour of La Marqueta to try unique cuisines while relaxing with a beach backdrop.

Recommendation: If you’re a lover of Asian food, the Shogun Cuisine sushi awaits you.

Think of this restaurant as a nice, high-end “food truck” spot right in front of the ocean that both tourists and locals like to visit. The vibe is amazing and the locations have multiple food and drink options from high-end local chefs! (Mexican, sushi, etc.) It’s also a great date spot. There’s a parking spot right next to La Marqueta which costs about $5/hr. Make sure you have cash on hand to pay for the parking spot. Take an Uber or walk there from your hotel if you want to save money on parking. Call to check if it’s open before going, as COVID-19 has affected its hours of operations.

The menu deliciously combines Puerto Rican tradition and modern cuisine, providing your palate a taste it will want to come back for.

Recommendation: One of its most popular dishes is La Pasta Sirena de Mariscos (The Mermaid Seafood Pasta).
